Yes, and we prefer it. We build from your architect's drawings and your designer's specifications, and we do not compete for that work. The most useful thing we can do is join early — pricing the project while it is still being drawn is the best protection against a plan you love and cannot afford. Your architect stays the author of the design; we handle what it takes to build it.

We can point you toward architects and designers whose work fits what you are after, and step back while you find the right fit. For smaller renovations that do not require an architect, we can take you straight from measurements and selections into pricing and permitting.

From first meeting to move-in, most custom homes run fifteen to twenty-four months, though site conditions and municipal review can move that. Drawings and permitting typically account for four to eight months before ground is ever broken. We give you a real schedule at the start of construction and update it as the project moves.

Most whole-home renovations run four to nine months on site, depending on scope and whether structural work is involved. Kitchens alone typically run eight to fourteen weeks. Planning and selections happen before that and are the part most people underestimate — the more decisions made up front, the smoother the build.

Sometimes, depending on scope. Kitchen and bath projects often allow it with a temporary setup. Whole-home renovations with structural or mechanical work usually do not. We tell you honestly which situation you are in during planning, and we plan dust control, access, and staging around your answer.

We provide detailed estimates tied to real selections rather than broad allowances, which is what keeps the final number close to the first one. When something does change, it goes through a written change order with the cost attached before the work happens. You approve it or you do not — nothing gets built and billed as a surprise.
