Mesa Primary Bath Remodel

A primary bath rebuilt around a barrel-vaulted alcove — book-matched stone, a luxe tub deck and upgraded millwork.

The existing bath had the square footage but none of the drama. The rebuild centers on an arched alcove that frames the tub and gives the room a focal point it never had.

Book-matched fantasy blue marble wraps the alcove wall and continues onto the tub deck, so the veining reads as one piece rather than a series of slabs. The bright white millwork keeps the stone from feeling heavy, and white marble-look floors add textural interest without drawing attention away from the stone.

The shower — a frame less enclosure with full-height marble-look porcelain, a bench, and dual fixtures is not only beautiful, but hidden grab bars that double as shower head slide bars, maintain the function of this shower for years to come.

Storage was the quiet win. The vanities gained full-height drawer banks and the alcove picked up recessed shelving, which is what actually makes a bathroom livable after the photographs are taken.
